The Damned United screens tomorrow night
Sorry soccer fanatics. Tomorrow is a day off from the World Cup. But fear not: there is still soccer to be had in cinematic form. In lieu of the games, Brit's Pub in downtown Minneapolis will be screening sports flick The Damned United (2009).
Based on a bestselling novel by David Peace, the movie follows a fictionalized account of Brian Clough's tumultuous time as manager of Leeds United during the 1970s.
The screening takes place 7:30 p.m. Thursday night at Brit's Pub in the clubhouse (1110 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis). Admission is free. For more info visit www.britspub.com or call 612.332.3908.
