Shop local this weekend for the holidays before it's too late

Minneapolis Craft Market teams up with Lakes & Legends this weekend for Procraftinate.

Are you done with your holiday shopping? Me neither. Fortunately, there are tons of events all over the Twin Cities this weekend that will help us get things checked off our list. Here are four events you should definitely make a point to attend if you’re still shopping (or if you’re in the mood to treat yourself).

Joy Joy Art Sale
Art prints are a perfect gift, especially when they’re $25 or under. Five Watt Coffee is closing down the shop for a night to become a mini-gallery, and they’re donating proceeds to a variety of local charities, including Planned Parenthood and the Trevor Project. Shop art from artists like Cori Lin, Betty Jaeger, Jordan Erickson, and Taylor Baldry, and sip on mulled wine to get into the holiday spirit. You can even get your tarot read. This sounds like a super-fun event to attend with your besties. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 8 to 10 p.m. (Five Watt Coffee, 3745 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis.)

Golden Pearl After Dark x Strange Girls Opening Night
Do some holiday shopping at Northeast’s Golden Pearl Vintage and check out the art and goods presented by a new collective of artists, A Conspiracy of Strange Girls. Who knows what you’ll find? If you’ve got a “strange girl” best friend or sibling on your list, then pencil this event in and pop by the Pearl for a little holiday cheer. Refreshments and snacks will be provided, too. Thursday, Dec. 15, 6 to 9 p.m. (The Golden Pearl Vintage, 507 E. Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis.)

Bestow: A Last-Minute Holiday Gift Market
The friendly folks at Public Functionary gallery know that not all of us are on top of our holiday shopping, but don’t really want to just grab random stuff from Macy’s or the Mall of America to satisfy our friends and fam. They’re saving us all from the mall with their gift market, featuring the works of artists like Caitlin Karolczak, Kate Iverson, and Meg Brown Ceramics, plus many, many more. You’ll find jewelry, art, clothing, and home goods at this arty little pop-up. Saturday, Dec. 17, noon to 6 p.m. (Public Functionary, 1400 12th Ave. NE, Minneapolis.)

Burly Babe

Procraftinate: A Handmade Holiday Market
Meanwhile, Lakes & Legends Brewing Company is hosting Procraftinate, a clever little holiday craft market featuring all sorts of handcrafted gifts from jewels to ceramics. The brewery is over 3,500 square feet, so they’re packing the place with holiday wares. Done and done! They even have a gift wrapping station, which is perfect for those of us who just can’t fold the corners right. Oh, and there’s beer. What is better than shopping with a beer in hand? Nothing. Saturday, Dec. 17, noon to 5 p.m. (Lakes & Legends, 1368 LaSalle Ave., Minneapolis.)
