Even if you don't know who Adam Turman is, you probably know his artwork. The Minnesota artist has painted several murals around town, including the one outside of Butcher and the Boar, and has designed numerous posters for rock shows, bike tours, and other happenings, including this year's commemorative poster at the Minnesota State Fair.
As part of Mall of America's Fall Art + Style Series, Turman will be making a trip to the Mall of America today to give away free screen-printed posters and T-shirts. The limited-edition pieces celebrate the mall, and showcase his unique style.
The event is scheduled to take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the South East Court (near Forever 21 and LL Bean). Be sure to get there early, as freebies will surely get picked up fast. The first 500 guests will have their choice of a poster or T-shirt while supplies last.
The Fall Art + Style Series is an ongoing event celebrating local fashion, art, and culture in fun ways. Last week's highlights included a fashion show on the light rail, and live art creation via yoga. Upcoming events include an Instagram meetup and a runway show.
