Rusty Quarters Arcade to close this Thursday
Well, it was fun while it lasted. Last Friday, store owners Annie and Sage Spirtos announced via Facebook that Rusty Quarters Arcade will be closing its doors this week.
Citing high rent and dwindling sales, the owners said the space will stay open through Wednesday, November 6. So if you have a desire to play BurgerTime, Q*Bert, or Centipede, now's your final chance to do so in the Lyn-Lake space.
Though the venue is beloved by arcade fanatics, the stability of the business has always been precarious, though hopeful. Over the past year or so, RQA has put together a few successful Kickstarter campaigns, raising cover $10,000 from supportive members of the community.
As with any business, there will be a final sale. Folks interested in purchasing one of the arcade games for their private residence can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
