If you weren't celebrating pride this weekend then you missed out. From Friday afternoon until the late hours of Sunday night folks enjoyed rooftop dance parties, parades, family activities in the park, concerts, barhopping, and just about everything in-between. Our slideshows from the weekend reflect this, and are worth a peek if you're looking to reminisce this Monday afternoon (or see what you missed).
Things kicked off Friday with a few block parties and dance nights that were Pride-oriented. The Kitty Kat Club in Dinkytown got the beats kicking with Menergy, a man-tastic dance night featuring DJs Naughty Wood, Bach to the Future, and Ian Traas. Denis Jeong Plaster was there to take pics, and you can see the slideshow here.
No festival is complete without a big parade to set things off. Twin Cities Pride was no different, and offered colorful spectacle in downtown Minneapolis to get folks revved each day for the main event in Loring Park. You can check out David Eckblad's shots here and Jon Behm's images here.
Photographer David Eckblad also captured images of shenanigans in Loring Park, from friends hanging out to performers rocking out onstage. Shots from the two-day festival can be seen here.
After the festival concluded Sunday night, folks still going strong took to the rooftop of Crave for Communion. Hugs, drinking, and dancing ensued. View it here.
Finally, no Pride celebration would be complete without a slideshow of all the awesome, crazy, and colorful costumes. From drag queens to scantily clad, you can see it all here.
