Friday, Sept. 8:

One favorite FWMN events is the FGI (Fashion Group International) Fall into Luxury event at Morrie's Luxury Auto. Here local boutiques/designers like June, Martinpatrick3, Stephanie Lake, and Samantha Rei show off their most over-the-top luxe looks, from fall-ready coats to formal gowns.

What to wear: Rich colors and textures. High heels. Something expensive.

Time: 7 p.m. doors.

Saturday, Sept. 9

Anna Lee was one of the original MNFashion pioneers, launching Voltage at First Avenue a few years ago. Her latest venture? The Gray Matter Series, a pop-up gallery at the Hewing Hotel featuring her paintings and her grey hats handmade by Lee under her Ruby3 label. The pop-up explores the notion of "fashion as art."

What to wear: A hat, duh.

Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hewing Hotel.

Sunday, Sept. 10

Your clothes live out in the world. You wear them when you're getting your oil changed, picking up groceries, running to the liquor store, or hanging out in the park. Why not show them out on the street where you're actually wearing them? This weekend, Wedge neighborhood boutique Cliche hosts a traveling fashion show featuring their favorite fall looks from both the store and local designers like Jenny Carle.

What to wear: Well, anything, because you’re catching the models out on the street!

Time: 2-5 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 15

Local party throwers Flip Phone team up with FWMN and some local drag queens to chat about the art and painstaking craftsmanship they employ to create their drag looks. Max, who appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race, is one of the panelists this year. So if you’re a Ru fan, you won’t want to miss out. After the talk, which is at the W, pop over to Union’s rooftop for a special FWMN/Flip Phone celebration party with Kim Chi, another RuPaul star.

What to wear: Something sparkly, short, and danceable.

Time: 6:30 p.m. reception.
