OPM Boutique is closing, Primp comes to Minneapolis
Fare thee well, OPM Boutique
There's good news and bad news for Twin Cities fashionistas today. OPM Boutique in St. Louis Park, which featured high-end emerging designers, announced that it will be hosting a final close-out sale before moving its business to online-only. Meanwhile, the affordable Primp continues to expand, and has set an opening date and location for its highly anticipated south Minneapolis shop.
Top six boutiques in the Twin Cities
OPM Boutique, which opened in 2008, has made a name for itself by offering up-and-coming and established designers such as Helmut Lang, ALC, and Skaist Taylor. Before moving completely online, the shop will be hosting a mega-sale where everything must go. This means daily sales including 40 percent off of all items. Interestingly, new items will be coming in during this time. So if you want a deal on spring looks, this might be what you're looking for. Do you want to take a piece of the store with you? According to the store's newsletter, fixtures and other store items will also be up for grabs.
The boutique will remain open until Sunday, March 16 (potentially earlier, depending on how things go). In the meantime, you can also keep tabs on inventory through the business's Facebook page.
Meanwhile, in brighter fashion news, Primp has set a date and location for its south Minneapolis shop. It will be coming to the Nokomis neighborhood at 48th and Chicago in March of 2014. This will be its fourth shop, as the affordable boutique has proven to be a hit in St. Paul, White Bear Lake, and West End in St. Louis Park. The store specializes in adorable dresses, tops, baubles, purses, and other life necessities with a quickly-rotating inventory all approximately in the $20 to $100 range. The shop's Facebook page is also worth checking out.
