For the past six years, Rosalux Gallery has been making it a little easier for artists to get their foot in the door to a prestigious gallery show. November marks the 6th anniversary of "Open Door," a juried exhibition of local and international artists. [jump]

This year the artists showcased in "Open Door" were chosen by Christopher Atkins from the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. He had to narrow down his selection to just 10 out of hundreds who submitted applications to be part of the show. And since all media are accepted, the variety of art Atkins considered during his jury process must have been extensive.

In addition to being a highly publicized event, this show is an important step for the artists involved, as it is the only opportunity for those who are not members of Rosalux to showcase their art in the gallery. The exhibition begins November 12 and runs through November 27. Be part of the excitement and visit the gallery at 1224 Northeast Second Street in Minneapolis for the show's opening reception this Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
