No Pants Light Rail Riders Get to the Bottom of It All: "We Hate Pants" [Video]

For the third year in a row, folks filed onto the light rail and dropped trou in the middle of January.

About 30 people embarked on their journey on the Green Line train at Union Depot, full clothed, before one by one the pants disappeared and the riders pretended that nothing weird was happening that chilly Sunday afternoon.

Organizer Jennifer Ruth explained the origins of the No Pants Subway Ride and how it traveled all the way to arctic Minnesota. This isn't Ruth's only pants-free event -- she also organizes Cupid's Undie Run each February which benefits the Children's Tumor Foundation.

Butt But why go pantsless in frigid winter temps? We got the lowdown from a couple of No Pants Ride vets:

"We hate pants."

"Yeah, pants are a lot of work. Pants are constraining... being oppressed by pants."

Can't argue with that.
