Fans of Maria Bamford's Lady Dynamite rejoice: Netflix recently announced that it is renewing the original comedy for a second season.
The single-camera show's first season followed Bamford as she broke down and got her shit together, with the narrative shooting back and forth through time. Though some of the season is autobiographical — Bamford has struggled with mental illness, for example — many stories veered into the absurd and surreal, as audiences followed her through dog competitions, dating disasters, running into high-school classmates, and odd acting gigs.
The first season was also a star-studded one, with guest appearances including Patton Oswalt, Jenny Slate, Adam Pally, Dean Cain, and Sarah Silverman.
Details on new season are sparse, as no release date or casting news has been made yet, but we're excited to see what Bamford brings to the small screen for the second go-round.
