Perhaps more than any other sport out there, the athletes who do roller derby have a look. Some ladies sport a punk-rock thing, others are more rockabilly, while others looked like they stepped out of a manga comic book. You'll soon be able to get a little bit of their style, as the Minnesota Rollergirls are teaming up with local makeup mavens the Elixery to create five lipsticks.

Voltage 2013 now has an official lipstick, thanks to the Elixery

The five colors range from highly wearable for those unafraid to go bold (hot pink, fire-engine red, orange) to highly wearable if you're a cartoon character (green, aqua blue). The hues were inspired by the team colors of the Dagger Dolls, Garda Belts, Atomic Bombshells, and Rockits, as well as the All-Stars league.

The special-edition shades, which will retail at $20 a pop, will debut at this Saturday night's game, which will also boast aerial acts, polka music, and an after party at CAMP Bar in downtown St. Paul. Folks will also be able to purchase tubes at Elixery's website, www.elixery.com.

Since its creation, the Elixery has garnered a following for its hand-poured tubes of lipstick. This isn't their first collaboration with local celebrities either, as they have also developed shades celebrating local poet/rapper Dessa, as well as designing the official hue of this year's Voltage fashion show.
