LARP missed connection: You wore chainmail and gauntlets

It can be difficult to strike up a conversation with a complete stranger at a crowded event. It can be even more difficult when one person is a playable character and the other is not. That's what happened last Friday night at the Soap Factory's fantastical, role-playing event, "The Amazing Adventures of the Corporate Wizard in the Land of LARP."

He wore armor and swords, she was in fishnets and a military hat. Unfortunately, there was no meeting up during dwarf karaoke hour. Thank goodness we have Craiglist's "Missed Connections" section.

[jump] Here's a bit of the post:
... You were one of the PCs, wearing chainmail with black pauldrons and vambraces and I think you had gauntlets too, and one sword and two daggers (I'm pretty sure they were daggers, not shortswords) on your belt. You had short hair, dark blonde or reddish or maybe brown - it was hard to see well with the lighting - and a little bit of facial hair, almost a beard. I just thought you looked really interesting, and I wanted to compliment you on your awesome armor, but since you were a PC and I was an NPC I couldn't talk to you...I'm not sure if you check these, or if you even noticed me (fishnets, black shorts, a black and light blue tank top and a military hat, holding a green and red hand fan), but if you did I'd really love to chat with you because it's not every day I see someone who looks so cool and interesting AND who's interested in LARPing.
