Minneapolis-based designer Joy Teiken founded her line Joynoelle in 2000. Since then, the designer has been making custom, ready-to-wear, bridal, and couture items for fashion-forward locals. Teiken's ultra feminine aesthetic and meticulous construction have made her a local favorite for over a decade.
The 2011 collection will be shown on September 23 at International Market Square, and the 9th floor penthouse will serve as an intimate setting. The event is to be catered by tasty downtown hot spot Seven Sushi. Guests can enjoy appetizers while sipping specialty cocktails called Joytinis.
There will be two runway shows. One is at 6 p.m. with tickets at $50. The second show starts at 8 p.m. for $75. The later showing includes a meet and greet with the designer after the show. Tickets are limited; you can purchase them here.
You can also visit the Joynoelle showroom on 42nd and Grand to get a feel for her new work.
