I AM MPLS! and I AM ST. PAUL! Dates Announced

itemprop
For the past four years, I AM MPLS! has showcased local fashion designers and boutiques with a runway show where the models are local celebs and do-gooders. Today, event organizers have announced the dates and lineup for the annual bash. They're also announced a sister party celebrating all that is glam and good in St. Paul.
I AM MPLS! will take place Thursday, December 4 at First Avenue. Barb Abney will host the happening, along with standup comedians Jeff Pfoser and Greg Coleman, and musicians Tickle Torture and Greycoats.

So who is hitting the runway? Models include restaurateur Kim Bartmann (Red Stag, Pat's Tap, Bryant-Lake Bowl, Barbette), ARTCRANK founder Charles Youel, and Sondra Samuels, president and CEO of Northside Achievement Zone. They will be clothed by local boutiques such as Cliché, B Resale, Proper & Prim, Atmosfere, and Roe Wolfe.

Meanwhile, I AM St. Paul will be on Friday, December 12 at the Amsterdam. Comedian Jenn Schaall will host, while DJ Shannon Blowtorch and Courtney McClean and the Dirty Curls will provide the music. There will also be performances from Fearless Comedy Productions, Mu Daiko Taiko Drums, and One Dance Company.

Hitting the runway will be Growler Magazine/Beer Dabbler Joe Alton, Adam Johnson at Visit Saint Paul, and Monica Walch of Dinner on the Farm. They'll be wearing hot looks from Karma, Primp, Stephanie's, Idun, Heimie's Haberdashery, and BlackBlue.
