We're down to the final episodes of Fargo's second season. Thankfully, there's no suspense over whether or not the show will continue, as FX announced yesterday via press release and Twitter that it had been renewed. Get ready for some more Midwestern crime, bloodbaths, and quirky characters.
Creator Noah Hawley will return to the production, which is one of the most critically acclaimed programs on television right now. This upcoming season will be a busy one for Hawley, who is also working on a short series based on Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle and a comic-book pilot (who isn't?) for Legion.
Details on what the third season will bring are sparse, of course. The second season is fabulously set in the '70s, but whether the next cycle will be returning to the present or going even further back in time is still up in the air.
Fargo is currently one of the most lauded shows on television right now. The first season saw an impressive 18 Emmy nominations, three wins.
