Freelancer alert: The Dressing Room is hiring

itemprop

Are you a witty writer with a special interest in local art, fashion, and barhopping? Do your roommates hardly recognize you because you spend more time out on the scene rather than on the couch? Are you familiar with blog software and comfortable working online?

City Pages is currently looking for talented people available to write 2 to 4 posts a week for the Dressing Room blog. We're interested in sharp folks who can interview designers on upcoming events, recap recent happenings, interview big and/or up-and-coming Minnesota personalities, and even cover the occasional breaking news.

[jump] Applicants should be familiar with the local scene, have a strong voice and sharp wit, and be available to write posts on a regular schedule. Consistent access to the internet is also a must, as writers will be blogging from home or their internet cafe of choice.

Sound like you? Send in a resume with clips, links, and a cover letter detailing your area of interest (such as print art, underground art parties, fashion, local film, other quirky events, etc.). This freelance gig is a great opportunity to learn the ropes blogging for a major publication, boost writing samples, get your writing out there, and get paid to do it. We'd love to hear from you.
