Envision Spring 2014 announces date, location, designers
Twice a year Envision (formerly Envision Artopia) hosts a fab fashion party showcasing local designers and boutiques. This year, the event will feature a slightly new name, be hosted in a new venue, and some of the proceeds will even benefit a new organization. Here are the details:
In past years, the party has been held at Graves 601 Hotel. This year, the glamor will be moving to the newly renovated Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis. The after party will also be in the space.
As for the clothing, participating boutiques highlighting spring and summer looks include Atmosfere, Cliché, MartinPatrick3, Roe Wolfe, and Velvet Moon. The show will also feature work by talented designers, such as Caroline Hayden, Cocoon by Elizabeth Geisler, Idle Child, Khamphian Vang, Kjurek, MAI, Russell Bourrienne, Samantha Rei, and Tessa!Louise. Accessories, hair, and makeup will also come together to create each look on the catwalk.
During the evening, DJ Bryan Gerrard will spin tunes, and the event will be hosted by Tricia Khutoretsky, director and curator of northeast Minneapolis gallery Public Functionary. The silent auction, as well as a portion of the pre-sale ticket proceeds, will benefit the gallery.
