Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Serenity to screen for charity
This weekend will be full of Whedon-lore as Riverview Theater screens two cult classics created by Buffy mastermind Josh Whedon. One features Neil Patrick Harris as a budding super villain crushing on a chick he met at the laundromat, the other is a cowboy flick set in outer space. The event is part of Can't Stop the Serenity, a worldwide event that hosts Serenity charity screenings around the world for Equality Now.
Screenings are set to take place at the Riverview Theater (3800 42nd Ave. S., Minneapolis) tonight through Saturday. Start times are 7 p.m. Thursday, and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $10.
Equality Now is an international organization that supports local, grassroots groups struggling to address gender equality issues--including domestic violence, rape, and genital mutilation.
