David Lynch Night at the Loring Theater

itemprop
Nobody creates surreal, mysterious, bizarre scenes quite like David Lynch. For those of you unfamiliar with his work (seriously?), he is probably best known for his Twin Peaks television show, as well as movies like Mulholland Drive and Wild at Heart.

This weekend, the Loring Theater will celebrate the filmmaker's catalog with a David Lynch-themed evening that will include a screening of Blue Velvet (1986), a mystery film starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper, and Laura Dern.

But don't just show up for the movie -- dress for it. There will be a costume contest for the best Lynch-inspired attire. Make sure it's easy to move in too, because DJs Grant Cutler and Greg Schaal will be spinning Lynch-themed tracks. Arrive early for the pre-show happy hour.

Doors open for the Loring Theater's David Lynch Night at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 13. Tickets are $7.
