The news from Orlando has been heartbreaking and grim this week. For people up here in Minnesota, it might feel like there's not much we can do for those suffering in Florida.
Tonight, Twin Cities comics are coming together at the Comedy Corner Underground in the Seven Corners area of Minneapolis to raise money to be donated to the Pulse Victims Fund.
The event, hosted by comedian John Thomas, will feature a variety of LGBTQ standups, including Maggie Faris, Last Comic Standing's Pat Susmilch, and Funniest Person with a Day Job winner Shelly Paul. Other funny folks are expected to show up as well.
The show starts tonight, Thursday, June 16, at 8 p.m. Admission is a $10 suggested donation at the door (additional donations will obviously accepted/encouraged). All proceeds from the event will benefit Equality Florida's Pulse Victims Fund. You can click here to reserve a seat.
Comedy Corner Underground is located at 1501 Washington Ave. S. in Minneapolis.
If you can't make tonight's show, but still want to help, donations can also be contributed here: www.gofundme.com/PulseVictimsFund.
