Call for artists: Create lottery ticket art for $500

Last year's celebration.

Last year's celebration.

Artists of the Twin Cities: Are you looking to make some cash and create some cool art from an usual material? Then City Pages has the contest for you.

We're collaborating with the Minnesota Lottery to commission an artwork made entirely of lottery tickets. We will provide the tickets, you will provide the creativity. The work will be showcased at the Stone Arch Bridge Festival, and the artist whose submission we select for the project will be paid $500.

We're looking for submissions that celebrate the best of Minnesota, be it our many lakes, our awesome music scene, or iconic buildings. The mosaic must be at least 18" x 24", and the MN Lottery will give you recycled lottery tickets to work with.

Another rule? You must be old enough to play the lottery, so this is an 18-plus contest.

For more info on the contest, including deadlines and submission requirements, check out our promo page here.

The deadline is fast approaching — it's April 29.
