Behind the Soundset cover
This week's cover by multimodal artist Adam R. Garcia was an extension of his original graphics, which were designed for last year's Soundset Festival. See how his process transformed the funky original 2D characters into glorious 3D.
The plan for the cover was relatively straightforward, and Garcia had an immediate vision about how to arrange his icons as a scene. As with any illustrated cover, it began with a sketch to hammer out the space.
Each character was rendered one at a time using CINEMA 4D software as the scene came together.
