Art Shanties host benefit celebration on Valentine's Day
Folks who sign up for the V-Day adventure will meet at this year's new location, the frozen White Bear Lake. Upon arriving, guests will meet up with an artist who will give a personal tour of the shanty they created. Following this, patrons will cozy up inside the shanty for a special meal prepared by Chelles' Kitchen. Menu items include warm soups (lobster or tomato basil), toasted paninis (vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian options are available), and chocolate truffles and strawberry cupcakes for dessert.
The party continues after the meal, as other shanties will open up for exploration. Get down in the dance shanty, watch as sparks fly from the "firecracker hat," take a ride on the whimsical Pedal Bear Shanty, or ride around the lake in an Art Car.
Reservations for the unique evening must be made by February 5. And although this event is a little fancy for the Shanties, proper sub-zero attire is still recommended, so no evening gowns or fancy wear (unless it happens to be made of polar fleece).
