It's no secret that northeast Minneapolis has a booming artist community, with hundreds of artists' studios found in the Grain Belt Bottling House, Northrup King Building, Casket Arts, and others. Add in a notable list of craft breweries — such as Indeed Brewing Company, 612 Brew, and Dangerous Man Brewing Company — and you've got an area of town that obviously loves art and beer. This Saturday, Uppercut Gym will honor both at a fun party that will also raise funds for Arts Buddies. On display will be over 40 posters showcasing beer as a muse, with pieces from the likes of Ian Davies, Chank Diesel, Adam Turman, and DWITT. Guests will be able to pick out original artworks to take home for only $30 a pop. But let's not forget the beer: Upon entrance, revelers will be bestowed with a pint glass to take home. Before doing that, they'll want to sample some of the brews on hand, of course, which include the beers mentioned above, as well as pours from Boom Island Brewing Co., Day Block Brewing Co., Fulton, Lake Monster Brewing, Lift Bridge Brewing Co., Steel Toe Brewing, and others. Not in the mood for beer? Nordeast Brewers Alliance will also be offering craft sodas. Meanwhile, German-style pretzels, Bourough's take on their Parlour burger, and treats from GastroTruck will also be available for snacking. For more info, visit www.postersandpints.com. 21+.
