Since the mid-'90s, Michael Ian Black has crafted a public persona that is equally charismatic, smug, and snarky. He's sometimes offensive, frequently amusing, and often there is an underlying social awareness to his humor. Black is best known for TV work on VH1's I Love the... series, numerous commercials, and cult classics like Wet Hot American Summer, The State, and Viva Variety. As of press time, he's a rumored candidate to replace Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show, which may make this visit to the Twin Cities his last for a while. Tuesday is an opportunity for the longtime funny man to draw the spotlight through telling jokes and engaging the crowd. Or perhaps instead he'll soften the mood by reading from one of his children's books and discussing Chaska's Fourth of July Festival, which he and his wife visited a few years ago. 18+.
