A proficient beat-boxer and rapid-fire lyricist, local legend Carnage intends to tone down his explosive live set for a rare night at the Dakota he calls "Up Close and Merciful." With four-piece band the Last Band Stanin' behind him, this set will focus closely on his rapping and lyrical ability, taking Carnage's typically bombastic performances to new places. He's long been one of Minnesota's top live acts, but there's more to the music than his looped beat-boxing skills and tongue-twister spitting. His complexity and craftsmanship will be on display like never before, and the new vibe ought to feel right at home at the intimate Dakota.
