I was at the first showing of "The Budapest Hotel"  (11:30 a.m.) because in 1998 I saw Wes Anderson's "Rushmore."  Ms. Zacharek, thank you for vocalizing the conundrum we face with Mr. Anderson's artwork.  If only he could deliver the total package to our hearts and minds each and every time he paints a motion picture.  Finding the magic electrum to make a masterpiece is difficult.  l give him credit for serving up a nice dessert with "The Budapest Hotel."  We'll have to wait for dinner.  For now, the anticipation of dinner on Christmas eve with all our family and friends full of love, hope, great food and joy will have to wait.   Great art is elusive.
