For most actors who try their hand at standup, the biggest concern is having overzealous fans yelling out catchphrases and one-liners from their movies. For David Koechner, he looks at it as a good thing. "When I hear someone yell 'WHAMMY!' I know that they're fans, and you need to play the hits. I want to give the people what they want, and if they want WHAMMY! that's what they'll get." This week, Koechner will polish up his standup skills at Mill City Nights. "I think people know that I do improv, so they expect that," he says. "But honestly, I think it's just about entertaining people." From Anchorman to The Office, Koechner has become known as the dude who has a mouth and no filter. His standup, however, is a completely different story. "Sure, I'll do characters and improv a little bit, but no one who attends my show goes away unhappy. My standup definitely matches who I've been in movies and TV, and if you like that then you're going like the show." 18+.
