"When I was seven years old, I saw Steve Martin [perform], and after that I wanted to do standup," says comedian Collin Moulton. "I just didn't know I was allowed to." A succession of day jobs preceded his comedy career, of course: mechanic, piano repair, and selling hula hoops at music festivals, to name few. "I didn't wear shoes for a year," he says of the last gig in that list. "It was great." After he performed at his first open mic, his former mother-in-law bankrolled his comedy career for a year. "I went up every chance I got," he says. "Then I went on the road." In his set, he talks about everything from having kids to egotistical celebrities. "Kanye is mesmerizing to me," he says. "I've been studying zen a lot, so people who are so not zen are like a case study for me." Moulton just can't figure out what Mr. West's beef is. "He so immersed in his own insecurities that he can't see that we think he's talented. We gave him all this money, we gave him a Kardashian, and he's still like, 'Why don't you like me?' What if it turned out he just wanted an orange? 'Jay-Z got an orange; I want an orange too!'" 21+; 18+ later shows.
