This February, the late-night talk show game is getting ready for another shake-up. Fallon is taking Leno's spot, Seth Myers is taking over for Fallon, and now we're forced to wake up with Carson Daly. Among all the drama and changes, however, Craig Ferguson has continued to be a unique and refreshing voice in the late-night circuit for nearly nine years. As the host of The Late Late Show, Ferguson has brought a sense of spontaneity and intelligence that few can compete with. This Friday night, Ferguson steps out from behind the desk and on to the stage for a special, one-night-only standup gig at Mystic Lake Casino. The Scottish-born comic put out a new special this past January on Netflix, I'm Here to Help, proving that the smooth sounds of politely laughing network audiences haven't softened his edge. He tackles everything from celebrities, his past drug experience, and shark penises with the same charm that emanates from televisions every night. His wit and timing are still incomparable in the comedy scene, and his sets continues to improve with time. Just don't show up expecting Geoff Peterson to make an appearance. He only does television.
