After putting Nine Inch Nails on indefinite hiatus only to come back 3 years later with a brand new album and tour, Reznor seems less like a tortured soul and more like a grizzled survivor. That's not to say that he's lost anything as a performer; anyone who caught NIN at Lollapalooza this year can attest that the band is perhaps more captivating now than they've ever been. Reznor has a raging back catalog that begs for reinvention, and he's pairing that with ultra-confident new songs enhanced by a gripping stage show. NIN has been a big tent draw for two decades, and even if you've seen them multiple times before, the renewed focus has made this tour a "must see" event. With Explosions in the Sky.
