Now in its eighth edition, the St. Paul Almanac is a publication created for the people by the people. Each year, folks of all ages, experiences, and perspectives are invited to share photos, artwork, poems, essays, and short stories expounding on our fair capital city. This year's collection will feature work from over 100 contributors, including students, longtime residents, recent transplants, and established writers like Joyce Sutphen, Heid Erdrich, Carol Connolly, Garrison Keillor, and IBé Kaba. The release party this Thursday, September 12, from 7 to 10 p.m. will take place in three businesses at 308 Prince Street: Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar, AZ Gallery, and Clouds in Water Zen Center. The evening will boast readings from participants, original artwork, and live music from Hot Date, SitarTabla Twin Cities, and Mattie Ernst. Artwork will continue to be on display throughout the month of September in the AZ Gallery.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 5. Continues through Sept. 29, 2013
