Rodney Crowell

This year's headline news for veteran renegade Nashville singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell was the February release of Old Yellow Moon, his wonderful collaboration with Emmylou Harris. A key member of Harris's Hot Band in the 1970s, Crowell intertwines his voice magnificently with the glowing Emmylou, each profoundly expressive, all the more so while harmonizing, or spurring one another to electrifying heights, such as on Kris Kristofferson's harrowing tale of addiction ("Chase the Feeling"), Hank DeVito's hard blues ("Black Caffeine"), or their rollicking new version of Crowell's classic "Bluebird Wine." Opening will be local alt-country singer-songwriter Frankie Lee.
