Folks who love outdoor art fairs should be in heaven this weekend, as three huge ones – Uptown Art Fair, Loring Park Art Fair, and Powderhorn Art Fair – are taking place in Minneapolis. The Powderhorn Art Fair will feature 184 national and regional artists. As always, the event will host a special community showcase with work from artists living in the neighborhood. The park is also lovely, of course, and those looking for a great festival event that is a little less intense may want to check out this fair first. Looking to attend via bus? Visit MetroTransit's website to print out a free pass that works for rides on Saturday and Sunday. All three fairs are free. Uptown Art Fair's (Hennepin Avenue from 28th to 31st) hours are noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. More info can be found at uptownartfair.com. Powderhorn Park (3400 15th Ave. S., Minneapolis) and Loring Park's (1382 Willow St., Minneapolis) hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
