The second Open Streets of the summer takes place this Sunday. Here, the city will be closing Central Avenue Northeast for an afternoon of fun activities with nary a car or motorcycle. Instead, folks will be able to stroll along the road, or travel via bike, skates, or skateboard. Along the route will be a variety of happenings, including children's activities, a pop-up playground, open studios with various NEMAA artists, live music, craft and jewelry sales, bike-related demonstrations and activities, games of bike polo, and skateboarding lessons. Upcoming Open Streets will be at Minnehaha Avenue, Lowry Avenue North, and University Avenue in St. Paul. For more info, visit openstreetsmpls.com.
