If you've been inside a frat house in the past decade, then chances are you've heard a quote from Super Troopers or Beerfest. This weekend, two of the guys from the Broken Lizard crew responsible for bringing us "Car Ram-Rod" and teaching us the joys of drinking beer from das boot are bringing their two-man show to Mill City Nights. Kevin "Farva/Landfill" Heffernan and Steve "Mac/Fink" Lemme will be performing standup and telling stories behind the making of Beerfest, and might even do a little drinking, too. "Beer drinking crowds are the best," says Heffernan. "Most times we go into a venue and the liquor sales for one night with us will top what they usually do in an entire week. It's a fun show because we get that immediate feedback from the audience, and there's an energy you can't get without performing live." In addition to performances by "Fatty and Tatty," the duo hints that there might just be a third Lizard joining them onstage during their Minneapolis appearance. "Erik Stolhanske ["Rabbit" from Super Troopers] is from Minnesota, so we might have to see if we can convince him to come up onstage with us." Booze, comedy, and more booze? Sounds like a formula for a solid Sunday night. 18+.
