Do you have a piece of art from high school that you keep around because it's laughably bad? Do your parents have an endearingly awful clay sculpture or finger painting from your childhood that they adore? Do you enjoy creating works that are unabashedly low brow? This weekend, the American Swedish Institute welcomes you to proudly display your best worst pieces on its museum walls. For "Bad Art Installation," folks are encouraged to share their dubious creations, dated garage-sale finds, and other pieces of art of questionable merit. The results will (hopefully) bring laughter, and spark insightful debate on the nature of taste and the timeless contemplation of what is art.
