Few bands have spent more time being blasted through the speakers of mid-American Skyhawks and Mavericks than these two. REO Speedwagon (pictured) and Styx have been joined at the hip not just by virtue of their Illinois homebases (Champaign and Chicago respectively) or their propensity for arena-filling prog-adjacent hard rock anthems and power ballads.
