British folkie Nick Drake's stature seems only to grow with each passing year since his tragic death in 1974 at age 26 from an antidepressant overdose. Drake was a reticent live performer who ultimately swore off playing in front of audiences altogether, making a tribute concert organized by Drake's longtime producer and musical confidante Joe Boyd the sort of joyful musical celebration Drake himself was never comfortable enough in his own skin to deliver. Boyd will be on hand at the Cedar to host a program devoted to Drake's legacy featuring video clips from last year's Way to Blue tribute concert in London and participate in a Q&A with the audience, but the real attraction lies in the local luminaries scheduled to perform Drake covers over the course of the evening. Featuring Haley Bonar (pictured), Mason Jennings, and Steve Tibbets with Wendy Lewis.
