The sixth song on Iceage's second album, "Morals," was inspired by "L'Ultima Occasione," a 1965 piano ballad by Italian pop singer Mina. Bit of a curveball for a young punk band who are the subject of ongoing controversy for flashing various extremist imagery at shows, yes? But there's a key component to You're Nothing's success: After the more insular debut, New Brigade, this year's model succeeds at enough new things — intertwining guitar leads, abrupt tempo changes, tighter melodies — to prove that the Danish quartet will be capable of going in a number of directions after their penchant for writing gothic, lightning punk songs gets old. Of course, when those songs are as strong as "Rodfæstet" and "You're Nothing," that time is nowhere in sight. 18+. (Photo by Kristian Emdal)
