This Saturday, families suffering from cabin fever can get out and have fun at this special event at the Minnesota History Center. This month's Big Wow Family Variety Show will feature a myriad of global performances from local talents presented cabaret-style. Musicians taking the stage include house band Dan Newton and Cafe Accordion Orchestra, West African drummers and dancers Fatawu Sayibu, and French vocalist Josette Antomarchi. Beth Gilleland, a.k.a. ethnologist Dr. Pangea Thunderblust, will test folks' knowledge with a global pop quiz filled with fun facts and brain teasers. Other performances include Hmong storytelling and comedy with show host Tou Ger Xiong, a Javanese shadow puppet show with Joko Sutrisno, and magic with Brodini. Pre-show entertainment at 1:15 p.m.
