Taste of Chocolate

The failed resolutions are behind us. The Valentine's Day chocolate is gone. The promise of spring is on the horizon, but the snow still lingers. With the threat of swimwear and a lack of sleeves far enough away, now is the perfect moment to indulge just one more time before the seasons shift. So enjoy all that is wonderfully decadent with this weekend's 18th Annual Taste of Chocolate, a celebration of sweets held at the Bloomington Center for the Arts. This is an opportunity to watch our area's top dessert chefs whip up stunning confections. Participating chocolatiers include folks from the Art Institutes International Minnesota, Axel's/Axel's Bonfire, the Droolin' Moose, Groveland Confections, eco eggs, Oliveontap.com, Patisserie Margo, St. Croix Chocolate Company, Sugar Love Bakery, Thomasina's Cashew Brittle, Buddy's Best Hot Fudge, and Creative Confectionaire. In addition to samples of the sweets, there will be live entertainment, a silent auction, chocolates available for purchase, and a raffle. Prizes include cash, a shopping spree at the Mall of America, and a super fancy lawn mower (because this snow is going to go, eventually). Proceeds benefit the Bloomington Fine Arts council.
