This weekend, local burlesque troupe Toil & Trouble will launch its 2013 season with a nod to the Oscars. Pieces to be performed will play off of the saucy and sultry side of Hollywood, from silver-screen classics to modern blockbusters. Mistress Victoria de Ville will play host, introducing acts national, regional, and local, including Jeez Loueez, Dominique Trixx, Po'Chop, Musette the Mistress of Mischief, Queenie Von Curves, Redbone, and Mona Montague. While none of these performances will be up for Oscars this year, these ladies know how to put on a show far more entertaining than what you'll find at a dry and unending awards ceremony.
