It will be a few months before golfers can hit the green, and the Walker Art Center's mini-golf course won't open until the end of May. In the meantime, putt-putt enthusiasts can get their fix without freezing outdoors at the Skyway Open. For three days, folks will be able to play 18 holes created by local designers and architects. The course this year will feature a "Minneapolis of the Future" theme, so expect some modern setups at each stop. Friday's event will culminate in the 19th Hole Celebration in the Accenture Tower, where folks will be able to mingle and enjoy live entertainment, food and drink, and an awards ceremony for the talents who designed holes. Saturday boasts family-friendly games, cookie decorating, popcorn, face painting, and local mascots. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities.
