This Saturday, Franconia Sculpture Park will feature hot art in a cool climate. Throughout the day, 15 sculpture artists, led by Tamsie Ringler and Megan Daus, will be creating pieces out of molten iron in front of an audience. In the weeks leading up to the event, community members were invited to participate in workshops where they created their own molds out of sand to be cast today by experts. In addition to those pieces, artists will also be creating their own original work. Thermoses filled with hot chocolate are encouraged, though there will be opportunities to warm up (or snuggle with a loved one) at the bonfire, or over the cooling art.
