A picnic can be a charming and romantic way to spend time with your sweetie. It is neither of these things, however, when it's freezing outside. This Valentine's Day, the Bell Museum of Natural History will invite lovers, friends, and families to enjoy the great outdoors inside. Here, folks will be welcome to dine together in front of the diorama of their choice. The museum will provide a blanket to sit on, a round of drinks (there will be a cash bar as well), and a gourmet meal with mouth-watering edibles including cured meats, brie, and spinach pies from Uptown eatery Barbette. Local chocolatier B.T. McElrath will be offering sweets. Before eating, revelers can work up an appetite exploring the museum's visiting and permanent exhibitions, playing yard games, and perhaps even winning some prizes. The gathering is currently sold out, but there is a waiting list should slots open up.
