Winter Trails Day

It might seem counterintuitive to spend time enjoying the outdoors when temperatures are dropping. However, a little snow and freezing windchill never stopped Minnesotans from heading out into nature. This Saturday, experts will be on hand at Fort Snelling State Park with suggestions and information on how you can enjoy the winter months outside. Here, local organizations and experts from REI will be on hand to offer fun activities in the park, including snow shoeing, geocaching, guided hikes, ice harvesting, and cross-country skiing. Looking to do some camping this winter? There will be info on that, too. Folks will also be able to warm up at the bonfire, where they can sip hot chocolate. (Photo by sjdunphy)
