This Thursday, Box Wine Theatre returns to the Bryant-Lake Bowl for Raucous Caucus III, an evening of political performances in the form of seven 10-minute plays. While the 2012 presidential election may be over, there are still plenty of issues for the Box Wine troupe to chew over, including gay marriage, women's rights, bailouts, and bipartisanship. Past Raucous Caucus events have included a mix of satire and seriousness, so get ready for an enjoyable evening. Playwrights have been selected from around the country, and include Stephen Dierkes, Greg Freier, Donna Hoke, David Meyers, Eric Pfeffinger, and Sean Michael Welch. Adam Sharp, who wrote "The E-Word" and "E.T. vs. Predator" at last year's festival, is the lone returning playwright.
Thursdays, 7 p.m.; Fri., Jan. 11, 7 p.m.; Sat., Jan. 26, 7 p.m. Starts: Jan. 3. Continues through Jan. 26, 2013
