Guante gnashes his well-spoken teeth at the status quo on his 2012 collaboration with Big Cats, You Better Weaponize. On "The Invisible Backpacker of Privilege," the rapper-poet explores still-present boundaries keeping segments of the music community apart. So it's no shock he's taking part in a show that is doing its part to connect a few dots. Joining him is emerging duo Killstreak. They collaborated with Guante on their new single, "Collateral Damage," and bring a raw, apocalyptic vibe to the proceedings. Bomba de Luz's Lydia Hoglund, her grin, and her glistening vocal chords also are set to make a solo appearance, and there's no telling how far her artistry could expand this year.
