This weekend, the Seward neighborhood will get into the winter spirit with a festival and art crawl. The event kicks off Friday night with a party at the Playwrights' Center (2301 E. Franklin Ave., Minneapolis) featuring music, poetry, and dance performances. On Saturday and Sunday, galleries, bookstores, and other businesses will be hosting special activities and offering deals to guests. Saturday happenings include readings by children's author Patrick W. Ledray (The Dragon in the Christmas Tree) at Articulture, a kids' pizza party at Pizza Luce, and a tree-lighting ceremony at Triangle Park. Gallery spaces open both days include the Northern Clay Center, plus studios in the Ivy Building. For more info, visit www.sewardarts.org.
